While most PCS/Travel claims are handled at Waller Hall (Bldg 2140) during In Processing, you may have other questions or concerns regarding your active duty/reserve pay. The local Defense Military Pay Office is located in Bldg 4174 and you can reach the Customer Service Department by calling (253) 967-6342. Hours of operation for the DMPO are:

Emergency financial assistance is available to soldiers, active and retired, their dependents, their widow/widower,and orphans during a valid emergency that is unforeseen and requires immediate attention. Assistance is provided as an interest free loan, grant or a combination loan and grant. Any emergency must have originated from other than the soldier's own actions, i.e., problems caused by AWOLs, Article 15, or civilian fines are not normally covered by AER. Each AER request is personal and is considerd on its own merit. Categories of authorized assistance are rent overdue, or initial rent/deposit, utilities, emergency travel funeral expenses, medical/dental, car repairs, food and request due to nonreceipt of pay or loss of funds.

AER also provides educational assistance for family members of active duty, retired, or deceased soldiers. Loan and scholarships are available. For more information on the AER please call (253) 967-9852.
